The history of the school

The school as the eight secondary school was opened in 1996 the 1st of September. In 1999 it was named Kalnenu secondary school. Since 2007 the 1st of June the school is supervised by Regina Arbatauskienė. In 2010 the 1st of September the school was reorganised into Kalnenu Basic school.

In 2019 the 1st of September the school was reorganised into Kalnenu progymnasium.
